The other day I was talking with my daughter who will graduate from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois this year. She has turned into an incredible and beautiful young woman. I could not be prouder and more blessed. I also find myself missing her more and more. I don't know why it has "hit" me like this, but it has. I have found myself calling her and her brother up (who is a freshman at the same college) out of the blue and saying "I miss you."
As I sat down to write my blog this morning I asked the Lord what he would want me to say to my readers and what I heard was, "Tell them I miss them." I thought of the words I saw on a bill board somewhere that read,
"Remember how you used to talk to me as a child right before going to bed?
I miss that."
- God
God wants to reconnect with someone today. Is it possible it's you? Imagine, the God of the Universe who has galaxy upon galaxy to attend to has noticed your absence. Even though God's plate and Day Timer is so full God want's to re-establish a better relationship with you.
Don't dismiss the idea. Instead, why not re-connect with God like you used to. Talk to God from your heart just like you used to as a child when you didn't care what other people thought of your praying. God enjoyed some of the crazy little conversations where we prayed for our stuffed animals and thanked God for the colors of the rainbows. Maybe it's time for you to kneel beside your bed tonight, fold your hands and talk to God like you used to instead of like you think you have to.
I can guarantee you'll be glad you did.
Dude. Love the pic. Keep up the good work.
